Cardano breaks the 3000 mark for smart contracts

Just before its historic update, Cardano hits several milestones.

The number of virtual wallets (wallets) surpassed 3.5 million yesterday, according to Cardano Insights .

The day before, the 3,000 mark had been cracked for smart contracts .

According to Santiment , the project currently has the highest developer participation. The blockchain is also facing a major upgrade: “Vasil”.

With Vasil, the blockchain handles a higher number of transactions and smart contracts require less memory.

This allows more decentralized applications to run on the network.

The update has already been postponed several times . It is supposed to take place “in a few weeks”.
