Founders of Bored Ape NFT Collection Launch Metaverse – What You Need to Know About Otherside!

Sunday, the highly anticipated Otherside NFT Metaverse project celebrated its public premiere during a tech demo. The event was a great success, several thousand users entered the world of the Otherside Metaverse. In this article we will recap the event and report on the highlights.

What is Otherside and how does it relate to Bored Ape NFT?

Otherside is a Metaverse project developed by Yuga Labs company. Yuga Labs is also the company that developed the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT Collection. Development of the Otherside Metaverse is still ongoing. At its core, it is a combination of games like World of Warcraft and other virtual Web3 worlds. The idea is that "players control the world, NFTs become personalities, and multiple players can play together in real-time."

In the world of Otherside, the NFTs are active and able to adapt, while the users can interact with the objects and resources on their land. Other NFT projects are expected to be found on Otherside such as Cool Cats, CryptoPunks, Cryptoadz and World of Women. The game will offer worlds of experience such as dungeons and dragons. The project is intended to be constantly evolving, with players themselves having a say in the development of the games.

In order to interact and acquire land in the OTHERSIDE game, users need Otherdeeds NFTs . The latter are the key to interaction within this virtual metaverse. Otherdeeds are capped at 200,000. The first 100,000 pieces were released on April 30, 2022. The second batch of 100,000 will be given out exclusively to Otherdeed holders (aka those who bought the first batch, or those who acquired them on the secondary market) and people who contributed to the development of the project. You must own Apecoin to purchase Otherdeeds.

Otherside's first NFT event was a massive success

First trip details

A series of tech demonstrations will serve as the first stage of Voyager's Journey. This allows the participants (aka Voyagers) to go to the Otherside and take part in an evolving storyline. Additionally, during the demonstrations, Voyager will have multiple opportunities to assist the developers in pushing the boundaries of the Metaverse.

The first of many "trips" that Voyagers took part in yesterday was the "First Trip". It took place yesterday at 12 PM ET. In order to accommodate as many Voyagers as possible, many more trips will take place at a later date. So it's best to follow the Otherside on Twitter to see what trips are announced.

Any user who owns an Otherdeed NFT could participate in the “First Voyage”. They entered the metaverse as a sort of Voyager following a Big Bored APE. Users tested this new world by walking around and visiting different portals. Starting off, users were in a white place from which a colored portal took them into a colorful metaverse. They threw themselves into a “race” and reached the central stadium where everyone danced, threw emojis and tested the basic dynamics of movement in this brand new metaverse.

How to get access to the Otherside Metaverse?

As a user, you need ApeCoin to buy Otherside Land. The optimal platform for buying land from the Otherside is OpenSea. For this you need a wallet like Metamask and some capital in the wallet to be able to carry out the transactions.

Step 1: To buy Otherside Land, you need ApeCoin (APE) as a user, which you can buy on various crypto exchanges such as Coinbase and Binance.

Step 2: Download a wallet: Go to the MetaMask website, click “Download” and then select the preferred browser. Then click “Install” and follow the step-by-step on-screen instructions.

Step 3: Send APE coins to Metamask: Now it is necessary to send the APE to the MetaMask wallet. The address is near the top of the MetaMask pop-up window.

The 5 largest platforms for non-fungible token (NFT) collectibles

Since the beginning of 2021, non-fungible tokens (NFT) have had no holding back and the sector is setting new records almost every day.  More and more artists, stars and brands are realizing the potential - NFT are well on their way to catapulting the crypto space into the mainstream.  But which collectibles are currently the most popular? What are NFT? NFT are unique tokens that cannot be exchanged one-for-one for an equivalent token.  Any asset that is tokenizable can be an NFT.  This includes, for example, (digital) works of art, trading cards, game items and crypto domains.  Theoretically, however, real estate or securities can also be mapped as NFT. NFTs can be used to transparently map ownership structures on a public blockchain.  This allows them to store value just like real objects, even if additional copies are easy to make.  For example, the original picture of the Mona Lisa is significantly more valuable than a photo, as everyone kno...

CARDALONIA: THE CARDANO METAVERSE OPENS THE GATES!

Have you ever been to Cardalonia? With these words, the Cardano Metaverse called Cardalonia starts the gates. In this 3D world, developers and users can interact with each other. First of all, users have to create an individual character with which they can move online. After that you can enter one of the worlds built by developers with this character. You can also purchase your own land in the Cardano Metaverse via the marketplaces in Cardalonia . This is secured by Cardano's blockchain technology and therefore offers a relatively secure transfer of ownership. Since these are only digital plots of land, it is not yet entirely clear when the plots of land are purchased whether they can also be sold again in the future. A possible profit cannot be estimated at the moment. In Cardalonia, the cryptocurrency Lonia is used. The maximum amount of tokens in circulation is 100,000,000. The team consists of Alice Sand (Co-Founder), Vasil Air (CTO) and Dustan Water (Fullstack Developer). T...
