eBay NFTs: E-commerce giant offers its own NFT collection

With big companies like Twitter, Meta and Cloudfare working flat out to integrate NFTs, there will now be eBay NFTs too. That's why they're teaming up with eco-friendly NFT company OneOf and Sports Illustrated.

eBay Inc. was founded in 1995 and quickly developed into one of the largest online marketplaces in the world. Even the PayPal brand was part of the company until 2015. Over time, the platform evolved more and more from a consumer-to-consumer to a business-to-consumer marketplace. Now comes the next step: eBay NFTs.

Integrating NFTs joins industry giants like Twitter , Meta and Cloudfare, all working on their own NFT integration. eBay allowed NFTs to be listed for the first time in mid-2021 . So far, however, no blockchain technology has been integrated into the marketplace to make buying and selling as easy as possible.

eBay Inc. is now partnering with OneOf to bring eBay NFTs to market. With your own eBay NFT collection, you don’t just want to reach crypto enthusiasts, but the entire mainstream.

eBay NFTs are designed to go mainstream

OneOfNFT should help with this. With the help of this trading platform , one can easily purchase NFTs with no gas fees using a credit card. It allows creating and launching NFTs for creators unfamiliar with blockchain technology. There are eBay NFTs in different levels (Green, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, OneOf), which reflect the rarity and are available at different prices.

OneOf offers various NFTs including music NFTs and collectibles. Drops like the eBay NFT Drop may come with various benefits (tickets to real-life or online events, signed merch, VIP tickets). OneOf supports various eco-friendly blockchains like Polygon and Tezos to launch sustainable NFT collections.

The eBay NFT Drop is therefore on Polygon. This is a layer 2 blockchain of the vast Ethereum ecosystem. With the help of Polygon one wants to contribute to the scaling of Ethereum and thus enable fast transactions that are almost free.

“OneOf is a green NFT platform built for the music community to connect fans and collectors of all levels with their favorite artists.”

For this reason, the Polygon blockchain and other Layer-2s are excellent for cheap NFT drops aimed at the average Joe. This also includes the new eBay NFT collection . When users purchase these, a link to redeem them will be sent to them. The redemption then takes place outside the eBay platform. One would like to work on blockchain integration in the near future.

The eBay NFT collection is created in collaboration with Sports Illustrated

The eBay NFT Drop comes in four different rarity levels: green with 299 issues per token, gold with 199, platinum with 99 and diamond with 15. The starting price is $10 for the cheapest issue.

The drop started on May 23rd. All collectibles depict Wayne Gretsky and feature a 3D rendering or animation of his signature moves on the ice. Wayne Gretsky is a famous Canadian ice hockey player and is still considered a legend of the National Hockey League (NHL).

The entire eBay NFT collection will feature 3D and animated interpretations of famous athletes who have graced the covers of Sports Illustrated over the years . This is an American sports magazine that has existed since 1954. It is published weekly and is a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Warner Bros. includes other giants such as Warner Bros. Entertainment, HBO and the comic book publisher DC.

It is still unclear to what extent the eBay NFT Drop will reach the mainstream as intended. However, what is becoming clearer by the day is that we are in the midst of a huge movement of mainstream adoption of NFTs: the future for NFTs remains exciting!

From offchain to offchain: Statechains meets Lightning

Without a doubt, the most significant off-chain Bitcoin solution is the Lightning network. But in its wake, the statechain has emerged as an intriguing replacement. There is currently a proposal to link the two offchain networks. From an ocean, for example, you can see sunbeams glistening in the water, waves rippling, and possibly a jellyfish drifting toward the light. But you only see a small portion of it. The distance from the sea's surface to its bottom is hundreds of meters. It has dozens of different fish species swimming in it, crabs and starfish crawling on the bottom, shells clinging to rocks, and sea plants climbing up. A completely new world starts where your gaze diverges. You can picture a blockchain like Bitcoin, just like the sea. What you see on the outside is only a small portion of what is actually there; the set of UTXOs (coins) and transaction history that full nodes store are just the beginning of a much larger world. It's the plan, at least. With Bitcoin

MSP Recovery and Tokenology aim to optimize healthcare with the help of Polygon

MSP Recovery LLC, a Miami, US-based healthcare provider with an estimated enterprise value of $32.6 billion, is partnering with Web3 company Tokenology to jointly launch a new blockchain platform called Lifechain. Lifechain wants to leverage the verifiable and transparent nature of blockchain technology to aggregate medical care claims, medical expense reports and patient data and streamline their processing. For this purpose, MSP Recovery launched its own LifeWallet in January, which already has 1 million users. In addition to the wallet and blockchain platform, an associated crypto token called LifeCoin is also used. The press release explains that the primary purpose of the system is to enable secondary healthcare providers to more effectively bill health insurance companies for their costs. “The number of medical claims tokenized going forward will surpass $50 million per day by 2024. For this we need scalability, security and sustainability, which we have only found with Polygon

Phishing attack on popular crypto sites tries to empty wallets

Several major crypto sites such as Etherscan, CoinGecko, DeFi Pulse, and others report malicious pop-ups scammers use to try to trick users into connecting their MetaMask wallets. The phishing attack came from a domain displaying the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) logo. "We are investigating the root cause of this attack to fix the threat as soon as possible," CoinGecko founder Bobby Ong tweeted. The phishing attack appears to have been triggered by a malicious ad script from Coinzilla, a crypto ad network, according to CoinGecko. Etherscan also advises its users not to confirm any transactions that may appear on the website. The attackers attempted to use the hype around the “bored monkeys” non-fungible tokens (NFT) to gain access to the cryptocurrencies of unsuspecting website visitors. Although the websites affected by the scam attempt have reacted in the last few hours and deactivated the advertising pop-up, it is still recommended not to connect your MetaMask wallet to ne
