Ghanaian artist Kojo Marfo announces his own NFT series

 


Ghanaian artist Kojo Marfo has joined a growing number of celebrities to launch his own NFT series.

Ghanaian artist Kojo Marfo announced in a press release shared with CryptoAdvisor that he will be releasing his NFT collection soon.

Kojo Marfo is a London-based Ghanaian artist. Marfo developed his interest in art and visual culture through traditional Akan artifacts, sculpture and carving, which he was exposed to as a child growing up in Ghana.

According to the artist, thanks to his collaboration with the JD Malat Gallery, the collection will be shaped throughout April 2022, borrowing elements from Pablo Picasso, artifacts and masks.

Marfo believes that art is a means of communication and this philosophy has allowed him to draw on a growing pool of creativity and ideas. Marfo's upcoming NFT collection is a logical extension of his work ethic and highlights the ongoing development of society, his team added.

The Ghanaian artist believes NFTs are a medium to reach new people, whether they want to invest or are passionate about the art world. He also believes that NFTs are the next frontier of communication for artists, creating a link between the real and digital worlds.

Hence, his NFT collection is meant to symbolize these strong connections to physical works. The collection is created from a base of 250 features distributed by an algorithm to generate unique NFTs.

The artist said that this NFT collection is based on three important pillars; artistic vision, charity and the merging of the real and digital worlds. The team added:

“Kojo Marfo wishes to send a message of hope and understanding to all current and future collectors of his work. Take the time to reflect, sit down and reflect on the journey we call life.”
