Axie Infinity - Playing easy money?

In the past year, the topic of blockchain-based gaming has become increasingly popular. Here, users can receive NFTs while playing and then exchange them for real FIAT currencies. For example, one of the most popular Play-2-Earn games is Axie Infinity .

But not only the topic of blockchain gaming has become a hype in 2021, the non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are just as important. They more or less became THE new hype. A variety of A-listers from the film, music and social media industries used their faces to promote various NFT projects. Even the most exclusive auction houses such as Sotheby's or Christie's have already auctioned many digital works of art.

What is Axia?

Axie is a blockchain-based computer game that uses NFTs to reward players. While there were many blockchain games before NFTs came into the limelight, most only use the technology to improve gameplay. Axie was one of the first games to use non-fungible tokens as part of the game. Even after the NFT hype died down, it remained one of the most played games.

Developed by Sky Marvis, it is a game about fighting, collecting and earning money. Also, the game has almost 3 million active players, making it one of the biggest games in the world.

How does Axia work?

First steps

Playing Axie is not free. But it's still cheaper than most video games. One of Axie's main advantages over traditional games is the ability to resell your NFTs for money. Unlike most PlayStation games, you capitalize on your winnings from your NFTs.

Axie is essentially a game about cute monsters fighting. So if you like games that involve fighting and hunting, you might like Axie. Like most blockchain-based games, it runs on Ethereum - one of the most popular blockchains out there. Also, the game features a sidechain called Ronin to reduce transaction fees. Transaction fees are usually a common problem when using Ethereum. The ETH blockchain charges high fees for most transactions due to the amount of work involved.

Luckily, the sidechain minimizes fees so players can enjoy gaming while supplementing their income. In Axie you can fight in two ways. First, you can fight against the computer. The computer consists of a fictional team fighting against you. However, you can also compete against other people over the internet. This is useful in that you can get to know people from all over the world.

understand the game

The game is like most play to earn games in this space. It uses blockchain technology and also employs NFTs. An interesting aspect of the game is the q ability to breed Axies. Axies can be sold as an NFT, one of the most expensive Axies sold for $820,000. Breeding allows you to earn more money by creating Axies.

While this all seems very exciting, you should understand some basic aspects of the game before playing. For one, you need to buy three Axies to create your own team. You can easily buy these from an NFT marketplace to start your game journey. Most Axies sell for around $200, so you'll need around $600 to create your team.

Of course you can also sell your Axies to make a profit. The more you play the game, the more you'll learn about the gameplay and how to monetize your favorite NFTs. Logically, the rarer an NFT is, the higher the bids for it.

What makes Axie special?

Axie is different in many ways. First, it was one of the first games to use NFTs when they became popular. When the hype surrounding NFTs started, not many understood the appeal of this sector, but Axie helped it become more popular. Because of this unique feature, many players have chosen Axie to play.

Also, this game has a large number of players. When talking about some of the most popular games on the internet, it's definitely worth mentioning Axie Infinity. This game has nearly 3 million users and over $2 billion in NFT transaction volume. The larger the volume, the higher the liquidity, which is important for blockchain games.

Axie Infinity

Axie Infinity has a lot of potential to grow and control higher volumes. While the hype surrounding blockchain-based games is cooling off, many users are still playing this game for its attractive winning opportunities. In 2021, this game was one of the few games to use NFTs and capitalized on the huge interest in NFTs. Today, Axie Infinity wants to explore the Metaverse.

The metaverse is one of the relatively new concepts in the world of digital assets. While the term is not new, its evolution is becoming more profound, especially as actors create a whole new world accessible via the internet. Many developers use virtual reality technology to create another world. Some games make it possible to sell land and collect rent for houses in the Metaverse. This shows that the internet has shifted towards the Metaverse, and Axie Infinity is prepared for exactly that development.

AXS is Axie Infinity's native token. Users use the token for different parts of the game. Today, AXS is one of the leading metaverse cryptocurrencies in this space. Players need AXS to buy Axies; without three Axies you can't fight with others, which limits the chances of getting rewards.

New Axie version

The new Axie Infinity update could bring attractive new changes for the players. For example, Sky Mavis announced a change to the interface to make it even more user-friendly. There are also new special features and a free Axies launcher. This could make the game more accessible for users, especially since axies are getting more and more expensive. The developer wants the game to be accessible to a larger audience. However, an official release date has not yet been announced. Still, this exciting development could result in more people playing the game.

Axie Infinity-Roadmap

Axie Infinity is planning numerous gameplay and graphics changes for 2022. Despite the growing number of play-to-earn projects, it remains one of the most successful. While Axie Infinity saw an influx of players in early 2022, so did interest in Axie Infinity Land. That's not surprising, given that Facebook and other top companies are interested in the Metaverse.

In order to ensure a better user experience and a larger number of users, the company plans to implement some plans. One of the newest updates to the Axie Infinity space is AXS staking. While the developers rolled out this new update in late 2021, many are still not taking advantage of this opportunity to increase their rewards.

Any user can stake the native token of the blockchain-based game. Staking is an integral part of the crypto industry. It gives users a way to support the project while also increasing their own rewards. The reward consists of additional AXS tokens that can be sold for fiat currency. Another aspect that Axie wants to improve is the gameplay. While the gameplay update was originally scheduled for 2021, the team pushed it back to 2022 to give users the support they deserve.

Also, the developers hope to release Lunacia SDK Alpha before the end of 2022. With this update, users will be able to create games. The game could also support mobile devices soon as the team is working on developing an app for the game.

From offchain to offchain: Statechains meets Lightning

Without a doubt, the most significant off-chain Bitcoin solution is the Lightning network. But in its wake, the statechain has emerged as an intriguing replacement. There is currently a proposal to link the two offchain networks. From an ocean, for example, you can see sunbeams glistening in the water, waves rippling, and possibly a jellyfish drifting toward the light. But you only see a small portion of it. The distance from the sea's surface to its bottom is hundreds of meters. It has dozens of different fish species swimming in it, crabs and starfish crawling on the bottom, shells clinging to rocks, and sea plants climbing up. A completely new world starts where your gaze diverges. You can picture a blockchain like Bitcoin, just like the sea. What you see on the outside is only a small portion of what is actually there; the set of UTXOs (coins) and transaction history that full nodes store are just the beginning of a much larger world. It's the plan, at least. With Bitcoin

Phishing attack on popular crypto sites tries to empty wallets

Several major crypto sites such as Etherscan, CoinGecko, DeFi Pulse, and others report malicious pop-ups scammers use to try to trick users into connecting their MetaMask wallets. The phishing attack came from a domain displaying the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) logo. "We are investigating the root cause of this attack to fix the threat as soon as possible," CoinGecko founder Bobby Ong tweeted. The phishing attack appears to have been triggered by a malicious ad script from Coinzilla, a crypto ad network, according to CoinGecko. Etherscan also advises its users not to confirm any transactions that may appear on the website. The attackers attempted to use the hype around the “bored monkeys” non-fungible tokens (NFT) to gain access to the cryptocurrencies of unsuspecting website visitors. Although the websites affected by the scam attempt have reacted in the last few hours and deactivated the advertising pop-up, it is still recommended not to connect your MetaMask wallet to ne

MSP Recovery and Tokenology aim to optimize healthcare with the help of Polygon

MSP Recovery LLC, a Miami, US-based healthcare provider with an estimated enterprise value of $32.6 billion, is partnering with Web3 company Tokenology to jointly launch a new blockchain platform called Lifechain. Lifechain wants to leverage the verifiable and transparent nature of blockchain technology to aggregate medical care claims, medical expense reports and patient data and streamline their processing. For this purpose, MSP Recovery launched its own LifeWallet in January, which already has 1 million users. In addition to the wallet and blockchain platform, an associated crypto token called LifeCoin is also used. The press release explains that the primary purpose of the system is to enable secondary healthcare providers to more effectively bill health insurance companies for their costs. “The number of medical claims tokenized going forward will surpass $50 million per day by 2024. For this we need scalability, security and sustainability, which we have only found with Polygon
