POLYGON (MATIC) – ALTCOIN CHART ANALYSIS

Today we take a closer look at Polygon (MATIC). After knowing only one direction for the last few weeks, up, are we now threatened with a correction? Or do we keep the trend and continue our journey upwards?

Polygon (MATIC) has now recovered after its brief dump below USD 2.00 and is currently at around USD 2.30. At the moment the 4H-EMA Ribbons serve as support.

There are several support zones below us, which, however, were created by fast pump & dumps. These are well and gladly filled. So there is a possibility here that we can drop again to around USD 2.15.

If this area breaks, prices below USD 2.00 are even possible again. The trading volume is declining and thus could indicate a larger movement in the next few hours. Directly above us is the monthly resistance P, which we have not yet been able to confirm as support.

On the daily chart we continue to hold our red uptrend. This has been active since May 2021 and has repeatedly served as support for a bounce. This trend is currently around $1.90.

So we can see that there is a lot of confluence in this area. It would not be bearish if we retested this area, quite the contrary, we would strengthen the trend.

As long as we can sustain this trend, we remain bullish. Only when we break this sustainably, several days below, do we have to look out for further support zones below it.

Phishing attack on popular crypto sites tries to empty wallets

Several major crypto sites such as Etherscan, CoinGecko, DeFi Pulse, and others report malicious pop-ups scammers use to try to trick users into connecting their MetaMask wallets. The phishing attack came from a domain displaying the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) logo. "We are investigating the root cause of this attack to fix the threat as soon as possible," CoinGecko founder Bobby Ong tweeted. The phishing attack appears to have been triggered by a malicious ad script from Coinzilla, a crypto ad network, according to CoinGecko. Etherscan also advises its users not to confirm any transactions that may appear on the website. The attackers attempted to use the hype around the “bored monkeys” non-fungible tokens (NFT) to gain access to the cryptocurrencies of unsuspecting website visitors. Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs stolen through phishing on Instagram

Bored Ape Yacht Club ( BAYC ) developers announced on Monday that hackers have hijacked the official Instagram page of the popular NFT collection and posted links to a fake airdrop. Crypto enthusiasts who connected their MetaMask wallet to the rogue website subsequently had their Ape NFTs stolen. Apparently, the attack was planned to coincide with the one-year anniversary of the BAYC collection. This increased the "perceived credibility" of the phishing link. About 100 NFTs are said to have been stolen in the phishing attack . According to CoinGecko data , the minimum price for a BAYC NFT is 139 Ether ( ETH ) or $400,726. So if reports are correct, over $40 million worth of NFTs were stolen in the attack. These numbers are only the lowest estimate, however, as they are based on the lowest price.
