Erdogan shows interest in Metaverse

The metaverse is now gaining more and more weight in global politics. In Turkey, President Erdogan ordered his party (AKP) to deal more intensively with the issue.

President Erdogan has apparently let himself be grabbed by the hype surrounding the Metaverse. In a meeting on Tuesday, January 25, the 67-year-old instructed his party to deal meticulously with the issue. This is reported by the Hurriyet Daily News.

The AKP should first carry out a study and then organize a forum in which the Turkish statesman also wants to take part.

In addition to the possibilities of the virtual world, cryptocurrencies and social media should also be included in the evaluation. Problems related to the acquisition of real estate, including land and assets, are also to be addressed.

The Metaverse is very popular in Turkey. Investors have already spent millions of dollars on virtual lots.
