Bitcoin and Ethereum are struggling while UNI, MATIC and NEAR are rising


 

The crypto market has been quite volatile for the past two weeks and most cryptocurrencies have struggled to stay in the green.

Bitcoin, for example, is struggling to break through $ 49,500 and climb above $ 50,000. It has hit $ 50,000 multiple times in the past two weeks, but has since been pulled back below $ 49,000.

Ethereum, on the other hand, is also struggling to get over $ 4,000. It is currently trading between $ 3,700 and $ 3,900

Bitcoin price levels to watch

Currently, Bitcoin (BTC) is trading at $ 49,138.41 as it tries again to break the resistance level at $ 49,500. This is a level that has proven to be quite difficult to break.

The last time it tried to break the resistance level it broke above the support levels at $ 49,000, $ 48,000, and $ 47,500.

Ethereum price levels to be observed

Ethereum is currently trading at $ 3,994.48; $ 6 below the initial resistance level at $ 4,000 and just under $ 74 above the support level at $ 3,920.

If it does manage to break above $ 4,000, it could attempt to break the small resistance at $ 4,080 before embarking on a long-term uptrend. However, if the value falls below the $ 4,000 mark, it could move back towards $ 3,700.

Altcoins

Most of the major altcoins were struggling to gain traction as well.

For example, XRP tests the $ 1 barrier.

However, contrary to the general crypto outlook, several altcoins have seen extreme bull runs. Terra (LUNA), for example, is in a race for new all-time highs every day.

Others like UNI, MATIC and NEAR recover after minor setbacks. Uniswap (UNI), for example, is trading at $ 17.71 today after rising 13.71%. Polygon (MATIC) is also up in the past seven days, posting a 21.17% increase in 7 days.

NEAR Protocol (NEAR) is another altcoin that is on the rise this week in particular. It has gained 14.06% in the last 24 hours and about 33% in the last seven days.

Other altcoins that have seen significant gains today include Dogelon Mars (ELON), Gala (GALA), Livepeer (LPT), The Sandbox (SAND), Fantom (FTM), Oasis Network (ROSE) and Aave (AAVE).
