The DappRadar app store relies fully on decentralization



DappRadar, a kind of app store for decentralized apps (DApps) and non-fungible tokens (NFTs), has announced that it is restructuring its company structure into a decentralized organizational form. This also goes hand in hand with the introduction of its own governance token called RADAR.


The crypto company, founded in 2018, currently has more than 4 million users worldwide on its website, with at least 600,000 active users per month. The portal runs more than 8,300 DApps and 27 blockchain protocols.


The restructuring was announced at the Somnium Space online conference on Thursday. The change is intended to make the DappRadar ecosystem as global as possible in order to become the market-leading DApp store in the long term.


In this context, Managing Director Skirmantas Januskas explains what the company is hoping for from a decentralized structure:


“Decentralization is the core element of our business, which is why it is only logical that we should now take the next logical step and also make DappRadar truly decentralized. Integrating the community even more strongly is the only way to keep up with the rapid changes in our industry and to be successful for years to come. "

Exact details of the start date of the governance token are not yet known, but as a further announcement on Friday shows, the cryptocurrency is to be specially designed to participate in decision-making processes. The users should be rewarded for their “participation” right from the start.


It is also unclear when RADAR will be tradable. After all, the crypto information service already has a corresponding ticker, which additionally confirms the credibility of these plans. A future listing is therefore all the more likely.
