QUANT FORECAST: QNT COURSE

What is Quant?

Where does Quant fit into the crypto universe? We get to the bottom of this question in this quant forecast. All in all, the Quant protocol enables interoperability between different blockchains. This is essential at a time when more and more blockchains are being created.

The launch – ICO in 2018

The London-based Quant Network was founded by Gilbert Verdian and Dr. Paolo Tasca. The latter has been able to impress with his blockchain know-how for a long time and has already acted as a consultant for the United Nations and the EU Parliament.

The cryptocurrency Quant went on the market in 2018 via ICO . Around $11 million was raised. Thus, the target of 36.9 million dollars was missed by around two thirds. Nevertheless, the token has performed very well to date.

As is usual with ICOs, not all tokens were issued to interested parties. The exact distribution of the approximately 14.6 million tokens was determined as follows:

9.9 million. Token: ICO

2.6M tokens: Corporate reserve

1.3 million tokens: share of company founder

0.65 million tokens: share for consultants d. Quant Network

Quant Prognosis

Quant without a consensus mechanism

Most known cryptocurrencies have one thing in common: they are all based on a consensus mechanism. This differs between many coins. Each of the consensus mechanisms brings its own advantages and disadvantages.

The most well-known and popular consensus mechanisms include Proof-of-Work (PoW) and Proof-of-Stake. Recently, the second largest cryptocurrency by market cap, Ethereum, made a switch from PoW to PoS. This is primarily intended to reduce the high energy consumption of the PoW.

There are many opinions in the crypto space as to which consensus mechanism is the best. The development team at Quant is completely unconcerned about this discussion. Instead of a consensus mechanism, Quant relies on the overledger, which will be discussed in more detail later. In addition, changes can be made using so-called Treasury Smart Contracts, which work in a similar way to the PoS mechanism.

As the attentive readers have probably already noticed by now, Quant does not have its own blockchain and is therefore a token. QNT was developed and mapped on the Ethereum blockchain.

What problem does Quant solve?

Now that we have already discussed the theoretical background knowledge of the token, we will now go further into the use case of the token in this quant forecast.

In fact, Quant is the type of cryptocurrency that - unlike meme coins - wants to tackle and fix a real-world problem. Quant Network specializes in the interoperability of different blockchains.

Probably every user of cryptocurrencies who has already carried out a few transactions with them knows the problem that coins or tokens cannot be transferred across blockchains. If you have sent your coins to the wrong blockchain, they are lost.

There are now various approaches to solving this problem. But for experienced crypto users, this is a lesser evil that is quickly stored in their heads. However, if you think not only about the transaction, but about the use case of the different coins that are based on different blockchains, a completely different problem arises.

The question here is: Why shouldn’t blockchains simply be able to interact with each other so that only the best use cases are ever used for each coin? This is exactly where Quant comes in.

Overledger Network

The developers of Quant created the so-called overledger to ensure the interoperability of different blockchains. This means that data from one blockchain communicates with data from another blockchain and thus cross-blockchain networks can be built.

The overledger created the framework for different blockchains to be able to communicate with each other. However, they only do this if there is a corresponding instruction to do so.

For this reason, the Quant Network has also developed multi-chain apps (mApp). These mApps are not based on just one, but on two or more blockchains. This means that the advantages of blockchains can be combined.

For example, a smart contract can be started on the Ethereum Blockchain. However, since the fees for Ethereum are very high, the Cardano chain can be used for this, for example. This is just a simple example. However, the benefits could become very interesting for companies in the future. The combination of individual chains offers enormous advantages.

cooperation partner

One of the most important parameters for evaluating a project are the cooperation partners , which is why they should not be missing in this quant forecast.

One of the best-known of the partners is SIA. SIA is an Italian company specializing in information and communication technology for banks and the financial sector. With the merger with Nexi, SIA's repertoire now includes more than 500 banks. Other cooperation partners include Pay.UK and SIMBAchain.

Will Quant go up? QNT course 2022, 2025 and 2030

In the following section of the Quant Forecast, we have summarized the price forecast for QNT from well-known analysis sites for you. This quant forecast gives you sufficient basic knowledge about the use case of quant and an additional prediction from experts so that you can form your own picture.

Tradersunion

Tradersunion experts predict a drop in the price to USD 125 by the end of the year. The experts are more bullish about the future and see the price at USD 290 in 2025 and USD 1,800 in 2030.

Gov Capital

Gov Capital's quant forecast looks similarly bearish for this year. The analysts are assuming a year-end closing price of USD 106. For 2025, however, the analysts are more bullish and see the price at USD 590.

PricePrediction

PricePrediction experts are less bearish for this year. According to them, the course will remain in a sideways phase and start the new year at $155. The quant forecast from the experts is also more bullish for the future. The course should be USD 615 in 2025 and USD 3130 in 2030.

From offchain to offchain: Statechains meets Lightning

Without a doubt, the most significant off-chain Bitcoin solution is the Lightning network. But in its wake, the statechain has emerged as an intriguing replacement. There is currently a proposal to link the two offchain networks. From an ocean, for example, you can see sunbeams glistening in the water, waves rippling, and possibly a jellyfish drifting toward the light. But you only see a small portion of it. The distance from the sea's surface to its bottom is hundreds of meters. It has dozens of different fish species swimming in it, crabs and starfish crawling on the bottom, shells clinging to rocks, and sea plants climbing up. A completely new world starts where your gaze diverges. You can picture a blockchain like Bitcoin, just like the sea. What you see on the outside is only a small portion of what is actually there; the set of UTXOs (coins) and transaction history that full nodes store are just the beginning of a much larger world. It's the plan, at least. With Bitcoin...

Phishing attack on popular crypto sites tries to empty wallets

Several major crypto sites such as Etherscan, CoinGecko, DeFi Pulse, and others report malicious pop-ups scammers use to try to trick users into connecting their MetaMask wallets. The phishing attack came from a domain displaying the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) logo. "We are investigating the root cause of this attack to fix the threat as soon as possible," CoinGecko founder Bobby Ong tweeted. The phishing attack appears to have been triggered by a malicious ad script from Coinzilla, a crypto ad network, according to CoinGecko. Etherscan also advises its users not to confirm any transactions that may appear on the website. The attackers attempted to use the hype around the “bored monkeys” non-fungible tokens (NFT) to gain access to the cryptocurrencies of unsuspecting website visitors. Although the websites affected by the scam attempt have reacted in the last few hours and deactivated the advertising pop-up, it is still recommended not to connect your MetaMask wallet to ne...

Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs stolen through phishing on Instagram

Bored Ape Yacht Club ( BAYC ) developers announced on Monday that hackers have hijacked the official Instagram page of the popular NFT collection and posted links to a fake airdrop. Crypto enthusiasts who connected their MetaMask wallet to the rogue website subsequently had their Ape NFTs stolen. Apparently, the attack was planned to coincide with the one-year anniversary of the BAYC collection. This increased the "perceived credibility" of the phishing link. About 100 NFTs are said to have been stolen in the phishing attack . According to CoinGecko data , the minimum price for a BAYC NFT is 139 Ether ( ETH ) or $400,726. So if reports are correct, over $40 million worth of NFTs were stolen in the attack. These numbers are only the lowest estimate, however, as they are based on the lowest price.  At the time of writing, it was still unclear how the hackers gained access to BAYC's official Instagram account. Social media users have pointed out the importance of two-fact...
