Coinbase sues US Treasury

Crypto exchange Coinbase is backing a lawsuit against the US Treasury over the Tornado Cash ban.

As CNBC reports , six people are involved in the lawsuit, who are said to have used the mixer themselves. Including employees of Coinbase.

Coinbase's senior security risk analyst used Tornado Cash to anonymize crypto donations to Ukraine, according to CNBC.

The ban on the crypto mixer has made waves. Large parts of the crypto space have opposed the ban .

The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) justified a ban with the use of the mixer for illegal purposes.

In the first half of this year, around 75 percent of all ether stolen has been laundered via Tornado Cash .
