Phishing attack on Uniswap

On Monday, a targeted phishing attack targeting Uniswap v3 protocol liquidity providers (LPs). Ether worth at least $4.7 million is said to have been stolen.

Uniswap users are said to have been sent manipulated tokens in the attack. After being redirected to a website where they were supposed to exchange the UniswapLP tokens for UNI tokens, the attackers gained access to the wallet.

"As of block 151.223.32, there were 73,399 addresses that were sent a malicious token to attack their assets under the false impression of a UNI airdrop based on their LP's," explained Harry Denley , Metamask contributor.

According to Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao , the attack stole 4,295 ETH, about $4.7 million. The tokens were subsequently "laundered by Tornado Cash," according to Zhao.
