How long will the Bitcoin bear market last?

 What is a bear market?

The term "bear market" describes a market situation on financial markets in which the prices of the assets to be purchased are largely falling. It is a market in which investors are largely selling their assets, the mood on the market is characterized by fear and the values of the assets and thus the prices are falling sharply.

On traditional financial markets, we already speak of a bear market when there are losses of 15-20% on the markets. In the case of Bitcoin and the crypto market, this decision is a bit more difficult to make, as cryptocurrencies are much more volatile than other financial assets.

What constitutes a Bitcoin bear market?

A bear market in bitcoin, or cryptocurrencies in general, is difficult to pinpoint with clear numbers. In general, we speak of a Bitcoin bear market on the crypto market when the Bitcoin price drops significantly and over a long period of time. This has clearly been the case for the Bitcoin course since the end of 2021.

As in previous bear markets, the prices of cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin fell about 70-90% from the previously reached all-time high. In order to rule out an intermediate low, it usually takes longer to classify price movements in the Bitcoin price. The sustained price increase over several months makes it easy to assign the name bear market to the price development.

How have previous Bitcoin bear markets fared?

In recent years we have seen a clear cycle in the Bitcoin price over several years. This cycle continued again and again for 4 years. We saw massive losses from the previous all-time high in the first few months, a stabilization of the low price over the coming months, the onset of the bull market and a massive bull run about 4 years after the last all-time high.

This Bitcoin cycle is based on the Bitcoin Halving Events. A bitcoin halving cuts the rewards for bitcoin mining in half. In the past, after a halving event, we have repeatedly seen the onset of the bull market and a massive bull run 1.5 years later.

How long does a Bitcoin bear market last?

The Bitcoin bear market lasted about 2-2.5 years in the past cycles. After the months of the massive price drop, we saw a longer stabilization of the Bitcoin price over several more months. Unfortunately, this period lasts for a long time. During this period, we repeatedly see slight ups and downs in the Bitcoin price without massive price gains or losses.

Only at the time of the upcoming Bitcoin halving does the direction of the Bitcoin course seem to change . In recent years, the bull market has slowly started again after the respective halving. After about 1.5 years after Bitcoin Halving, the Bitcoin price then reached a new all-time high after massive price gains over the previous months.

Is it worth investing in bitcoin now?

The Bitcoin price has seen a massive price drop in recent months. As a result, many investors are currently unsure about a possible investment. At the moment, however, the Bitcoin price is very low, which means a favorable entry point. Bitcoin is so cheap at the moment that it is very worthwhile to get started.

According to the findings of the past Bitcoin cycles, the next bull market is still some time away. But in the long term it is worthwhile to accumulate Bitcoin in the bear market and to generate massive profits in the next bull market.

The 5 largest platforms for non-fungible token (NFT) collectibles

What are NFT? NFT are unique tokens that cannot be exchanged one-for-one for an equivalent token.  Any asset that is tokenizable can be an NFT.  This includes, for example, (digital) works of art, trading cards, game items and crypto domains.  Theoretically, however, real estate or securities can also be mapped as NFT. NFTs can be used to transparently map ownership structures on a public blockchain.  This allows them to store value just like real objects, even if additional copies are easy to make.  For example, the original picture of the Mona Lisa is significantly more valuable than a photo, as everyone kno...

CARDALONIA: THE CARDANO METAVERSE OPENS THE GATES!

Have you ever been to Cardalonia? With these words, the Cardano Metaverse called Cardalonia starts the gates. In this 3D world, developers and users can interact with each other.
