Crypto market cap falls below $1 trillion

The total market cap of the crypto market has plummeted more than 10 percent on the day.

According to CoinMarketCap , the crypto market cap is approximately $979 billion at press time. With this, the total value of all cryptocurrencies on the market slipped below the 1 trillion US dollar mark. This was last the case in January 2021.

The crypto space is currently struggling with severe price losses in the double digits. Bitcoin (BTC) is down over 11 percent on the day. With DeFi top dog Ethereum (ETH) it is even over 15 percent.
