Cardano reaches “major milestone”

Cardano is on course for the next hard fork.

The upgrade, dated at the end of July, is called "Vasil" and is intended to significantly increase the throughput of the network.

The scaling push should curb transaction fees for users and costs for developers.

With the release of Node 1.35.0, "an important milestone on the way to this upgrade" has now been completed, according to Twitter .

“The next step is preparing for the release of the Cardano testnet,” according to the software company behind it, Input Output.

More status updates will follow later this week.

The rate of the native Cardano cryptocurrency ADA is currently 50 cents. Week-on-week, ADA is up five percent.
