Cardano (ADA) price shoots up 30%

 


ADA has overtaken XRP to become the sixth-largest cryptocurrency as transaction volume has increased to three times that of Ethereum. Indeed, multiple factors including prices bottoming, the Cardano-Ethereum-USDC bridge, record-breaking development activity on GitHub, and the upcoming Vasil hard fork in June all influenced the massive rally.


Cardano (ADA) price is recovering from the bottom

Cardano (ADA) price surged almost 50% in the last 2 days to hit a high of $0.67. The price bottomed at $0.45, prompting investors and whales to buy Cardano . Also, the number of transactions and the total value of completed transactions (TVL) have increased tremendously in the last two days. This drives up prices. The number of NFTs minted on the Cardano network has now passed the 5 million mark.


In fact, the Cardano team has been working on numerous projects while prices have continued to drop. Development activity on GitHub has hit an all-time high and the price has skyrocketed after seeing a spike in losses on the Cardano network, Santiment reported in a tweet on May 31.

The launch of Iagon's Cardano-Ethereum bridge for USDC has also generated hype in the crypto community. The second largest stablecoin can now be migrated from Ethereum to the Cardano blockchain. This is an important milestone for Cardano interoperability. Support for other tokens will be introduced soon.


Community is waiting for the Vasil hard fork

Cardano doesn't seem to stop making strides in its bid to attract more users to the network. The Cardano community is eagerly awaiting the launch of the Vasil hard fork at the end of June.


Charles Hoskinson claims that more developers will move to the blockchain once the hard fork is implemented. This will increase the price of ADA as well as the total value locked in different protocols (TVL).
