Cardano (ADA) overtakes Ripple (XRP) in crypto ranking

Cardano (ADA) has ousted Ripple (XRP) in the crypto ranking by market cap.

In the early hours of today, May 31, ADA ranked sixth among the largest cryptocurrencies. Accordingly, Ripple had to drop to number seven.

With a current market cap of around $22.1 billion, Cardano is up over 25 percent on the day , according to CoinMarketCap . The ADA rate is $0.655 at press time.

Ripple (XRP) is currently trading at $0.4229 and has a market cap of $20.4 billion.

According to the chart, both cryptocurrencies could show a similar development of their market capitalization in the last 30 days. While Ripple held the upper hand for a while, Cardano ultimately came out on top.
