Breitling accepts crypto as a form of payment

The Swiss luxury watch manufacturer Breitling has entered into a cooperation with the payment processor BitPay to accept cryptocurrencies as a means of payment. This was announced on Twitter .

According to the watchmaker's website, you can pay in a total of 11 different cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Dogecoin (DOGE), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC) and five stablecoins.

The company has been in the watch business since 1884. Prices range from $3,300 to $53,560 per watch.

As early as 2020, Breitling recognized the benefits of blockchain technology: In order to eradicate counterfeits, the Swiss watch house issues NFTs to prove the authenticity of the luxury watches .

In addition to Breitling, several luxury watchmakers have already developed a taste for crypto. TAG Heuer recently announced that it would enable payments in Bitcoin and Co.
