Shiba Inu gains 30,000 new holders



 Shiba Inu (SHIB) has added 30,000 new holders in a month as the burning rate continues to rise and the meme coin price continues to fall as well.


According to Shiba Inu blockchain data, there are currently 1,169 million holders on the Ethereum blockchain, up from 1.134 million at the end of last month.


The price of SHIB has dropped by 55% in the last 30 days as this token was also affected by the sharp sell-off in the crypto market triggered by the collapse of the Terra ecosystem.


New owners are joining in, while SHIB's lead developer Shytoshi Kusama has hinted that there will be an upcoming announcement that will eclipse everything else.


The SHIB team recently announced that entertainment industry veteran Marcie Jastrow has joined the Metaverse team and will be working on a project called Shib: The Metaverse. Jastrow has over 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry.


New owners are also joining as SHIB burning rates are rising. Earlier this week, the rate surged 800% to 12.6 billion tokens in one day after the burning portal started distributing $RYOSHI rewards.


On April 23, 2022, the Burn portal was launched. By the time the reward was distributed, the SHIArmy had burned around 29.5 billion SHIB. After the distribution of rewards started earlier this week, the number rose to 51.5 billion tokens.


In particular, through a series of polls, the SHIB community has indicated that it supports token burns via the Metaverse as part of the long-term strategy. Presumably she believes that reducing the supply of the currency in circulation is more beneficial than her metaverse.


The acceptance of SHIB has also increased. Through a new collaboration between major global restaurant software and payment solutions provider Lavu and fintech payments company Verifone, which will enable thousands of restaurants in 65 countries to accept multiple cryptos as a payment method, including SHIB.
