How MetaMask could help bring back your stolen Bitcoin

 


The popular crypto wallet provider MetaMask entered into a cooperation with the company Asset Reality . This emerges from a recent press release .

The aim of the cooperation is to bring back assets in crypto that a person lost through a scam or fraud.

"When a user has had funds stolen, often because a scam has tricked them into giving up their passwords or secret recovery phrase, they often have no one to turn to, which is an incredibly difficult time for them, both emotionally and financially," explains Aidan Larkin, co-founder and CEO of Asset Reality. "We are proud to partner with ConsenSys and MetaMask to provide this important service that will ultimately improve users' experiences in dealing with these situations."

Affected users must continue to report cases of fraud to MetaMask. The crypto wallet then collects all the information about the incident and forwards the victims to Asset Reality.

MetaMask recently warned of a security risk for iPhone users who store their passwords via iCloud.
