Silk Road founder settles outstanding debt with Bitcoin

Since the rejection of his appeal procedure , things had gone quiet about the alleged founder of the Darknet marketplace Silkroad Ross Ulbricht.

Court documents now show that Ross Ulbricht is using his illegally generated 69,370 bitcoin, worth almost $3 billion, to settle outstanding debts to US government agencies.

In total, however, the Silkroad operator owes the US government only 183 million US dollars, which now rakes in an additional 2.8 billion US dollars in profit through the “deal” with Ulbricht.
