Ripple vs. Stellar: Is XRP or XLM a Better Buy?

Ripple and Stellar are among the largest cryptocurrencies in the world. The two have a market cap of over $35 billion and $4.9 billion, respectively. They also share a common history, considering that Stellar was created by a Ripple co-founder. In this Ripple vs. Stellar analysis, we will identify which one is a better buy.

Ripple vs. Stellar

Ripple is a blockchain project in the money transfer industry. It is run by Ripple Labs, a company that works with other firms in the financial sector. It solves the money transfer challenge by providing an on-demand liquidity (ODL) function and the XRP token. In recent years, Ripple has established partnerships with numerous companies such as Santander and Azimo.

Stellar is also active in the money transfer industry. It solves the challenge by allowing people to create open reps for different currencies like the US Dollar, Euro, and Japanese Yen. It also has an SDK that allows companies in the industry to speed up transactions. As shown below, Ripple and Stellar have shown similar performance over the past few years.

There are several reasons why many people believe Ripple is a better investment. First, since its inception in 2013, it has had a longer track record than Stellar. Therefore, it is a better known brand than Stellar. Second, Ripple has a long way to go for growth considering developers will start building on its platform soon.

Third, while Ripple has gone through challenges, it has maintained most of its past relationships. It works with some of the leading companies in the financial industry. Additionally, analysts believe the SEC vs. Ripple case has caused it to be undervalued.

A common concern, however, is that XRP is not actually a cryptocurrency due to the massive amount of control that Ripple has.

The next part of Ripple vs. Stellar looks at the case for Stellar. First, Stellar is an open platform that has been used to build some well-known tools. For example, it was used to build USD Coin, one of the most popular stablecoins worldwide. USDC was built by Circle, a company valued at over $10 billion.

Third, Stellar is already being used by developers from all over the world. Some of the most popular companies using Stellar include ClickPesa, SatoshiPay, and CoinQuest, among others.

In my experience, Ripple is a better buy than Stellar due to its strong brand. I also view the recent SEC vs. Ripple case as a net positive for the coin. I expect the judge's verdict to be somewhat positive for the coin and attract more investors.

The 5 largest platforms for non-fungible token (NFT) collectibles

Since the beginning of 2021, non-fungible tokens (NFT) have had no holding back and the sector is setting new records almost every day.  More and more artists, stars and brands are realizing the potential - NFT are well on their way to catapulting the crypto space into the mainstream.  But which collectibles are currently the most popular? What are NFT? NFT are unique tokens that cannot be exchanged one-for-one for an equivalent token.  Any asset that is tokenizable can be an NFT.  This includes, for example, (digital) works of art, trading cards, game items and crypto domains.  Theoretically, however, real estate or securities can also be mapped as NFT. NFTs can be used to transparently map ownership structures on a public blockchain.  This allows them to store value just like real objects, even if additional copies are easy to make.  For example, the original picture of the Mona Lisa is significantly more valuable than a photo, as everyone kno...

CARDALONIA: THE CARDANO METAVERSE OPENS THE GATES!

Have you ever been to Cardalonia? With these words, the Cardano Metaverse called Cardalonia starts the gates. In this 3D world, developers and users can interact with each other. First of all, users have to create an individual character with which they can move online. After that you can enter one of the worlds built by developers with this character. You can also purchase your own land in the Cardano Metaverse via the marketplaces in Cardalonia . This is secured by Cardano's blockchain technology and therefore offers a relatively secure transfer of ownership. Since these are only digital plots of land, it is not yet entirely clear when the plots of land are purchased whether they can also be sold again in the future. A possible profit cannot be estimated at the moment. In Cardalonia, the cryptocurrency Lonia is used. The maximum amount of tokens in circulation is 100,000,000. The team consists of Alice Sand (Co-Founder), Vasil Air (CTO) and Dustan Water (Fullstack Developer). T...
