In terms of performance, Cardano is expected to increase significantly in the near future. This is what the founder of the blockchain, Charles Hoskinson , promises .

He presented the roadmap for 2022 yesterday, March 20, 2022. The project will soon enter the basho scaling phase. It was announced earlier this year.

According to Charles Hoskinson: “There are many updates this year that massively improve the scalability and expressiveness of the system. It gives you the same kind of performance you get from systems like Solana.”

Solana is capable of 65,000 transactions per second . Cardano is currently doing 200 transactions per second. It would be an almost 25,000 percent increase in speed.

All blockchains have been struggling with a trilemma of scalability (speed/volume), decentralization and security for years. Choosing a faster blockchain usually comes at a cost in the other areas, and vice versa.
