Crypto exchange FTX becomes a partner of music festival Tomorrowland


 

FTX Europa , an offshoot of crypto exchange FTX, becomes a partner of European music festival Tomorrowland . According to a statement, they want to work together to develop NFT and Web 3.0 features.

Tomorrowland has been held every summer since 2005 in the Belgian town of Boom. For three years now there has also been a winter edition in the French Alps, this year at the end of March.

A first cooperation between both partners is already planned for the upcoming Tomorrowland Winter . Visitors can collect 1,500 NFTs. These unlock access to exclusive concerts. A total of 6,000 NFTs are to be created for the festival.

In addition, they want to try other Web 3.0 and Metaverse ideas in the future. The partnership is designed for the long term.

In addition to the deal with Tomorrowland, FTX also announced today that it is hiring a prominent gaming CEO. Steve Sadin is strengthening the crypto exchange's gaming unit, which was created in February . He previously worked at Warner Brothers Games Studio in Boston. This mainly focused on free-to-play multiplayer games like “Lord of the Rings Online”.
