The crypto market is seeing mixed performance, but SCRT has added more than 12% to its value over the past 24 hours.

The crypto market cap is still at the $2 trillion mark despite the mixed performance over the past few hours. Bitcoin is trading around the $42,000 level after failing to surpass the $45,000 resistance level.

Ether is trading around $3,200 and is down less than 1% in the last 24 hours. Despite the mixed performances, SCRT, the Secret Network's native token, is up more than 12% over the past 24 hours.

The token has rallied as the collection of non-fungible tokens (NFT) set to be released by Quentin Tarantino continues to gain coverage. The Wall Street Journal recently reported on the upcoming launch of the NFT collection. The publication said :

"The battle for super-rare Tarantino NFTs on Secret Network heats up as Quentin Tarantino accuses Miramax of attempting to sabotage the auction - while also issuing a cease and desist letter to Miramax."

SCRT is trading at $8.15 at press time, up more than 12% over the past 24 hours. It has outperformed numerous cryptocurrencies during this period.

The SCRT/USDT 4-hour chart shows that the cryptocurrency is currently performing extremely well. The technical indicators are showing that SCRT could move higher in the coming hours or days.

SCRT's MACD line is above the neutral zone, indicating its strong performance at the moment. The RSI of 63 shows that SCRT is moving towards the overbought territory.

If the current rally holds, SCRT could surpass the psychological $10 level in the coming hours. In the event of an extended bullish performance, the cryptocurrency could set a new all-time high above the $12 level.

Phishing attack on popular crypto sites tries to empty wallets

  Several major crypto sites such as Etherscan, CoinGecko, DeFi Pulse, and others report malicious pop-ups scammers use to try to trick users into connecting their MetaMask wallets. The phishing attack came from a domain displaying the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) logo. "We are investigating the root cause of this attack to fix the threat as soon as possible," CoinGecko founder Bobby Ong tweeted. The phishing attack appears to have been triggered by a malicious ad script from Coinzilla, a crypto ad network, according to CoinGecko. Etherscan also advises its users not to confirm any transactions that may appear on the website. The attackers attempted to use the hype around the “bored monkeys” non-fungible tokens (NFT) to gain access to the cryptocurrencies of unsuspecting website visitors. Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs stolen through phishing on Instagram

  Bored Ape Yacht Club ( BAYC ) developers announced on Monday that hackers have hijacked the official Instagram page of the popular NFT collection and posted links to a fake airdrop. Crypto enthusiasts who connected their MetaMask wallet to the rogue website subsequently had their Ape NFTs stolen. Apparently, the attack was planned to coincide with the one-year anniversary of the BAYC collection. This increased the "perceived credibility" of the phishing link. About 100 NFTs are said to have been stolen in the phishing attack . According to CoinGecko data , the minimum price for a BAYC NFT is 139 Ether ( ETH ) or $400,726. So if reports are correct, over $40 million worth of NFTs were stolen in the attack.
