Tesla now accepts Dogecoin as a payment method for merchandise

Tesla can now pay for certain items with DOGE, but returns, exchanges and cancellations are no longer required.

Tesla boss Elon Musk has announced that the successful car manufacturer will now accept Dogecoin ( DOGE ) as payment for certain merchandise items. In order to be able to pay with the DOGE, interested customers only have to send the respective amount in DOGE to the Dogecoin wallet, but there is a catch.

The eighth largest company in the world first makes it clear that it does not accept any other cryptocurrencies as a payment method apart from the DOGE . Any crypto funds sent to Tesla that “are not Dogecoin will therefore be returned to the buyer.”

In addition, items paid for with the DOGE "cannot be returned, exchanged or cancelled". All purchases in the form of the joke cryptocurrency are therefore fixed and cannot be reversed.

Dogecoin inventor Billy Markus immediately responded to the announcement, urging : "Dogecoin community, you know what you have to do."

The followers of the much-hyped cryptocurrency did not take long to ask and after just a few minutes they posted on social media that they had purchased the first Tesla fan items using Dogecoin. For example , a German user writes : “The Tesla Tequila is already on the way me to Germany!”

A month ago, Tesla had already announced that DOGE should be introduced as a payment method for merchandise. As a result, the Dogecoin price shot up by a whopping 25%. After today's launch, the DOGE rose again by 18.63%.

In December, Tesla CEO Elon Musk again explained why he prefers DOGE over crypto market leader Bitcoin ( BTC ), saying that "while Dogecoin was created as a hoax, it's better suited for transactions [than BTC]" . The inflationary conception of the DOGE would also be an advantage in this context, since investors would be more likely to spend the cryptocurrency again than to hold it.

The big automaker could be a pioneer for many small and medium-sized businesses this year, as more and more "SMEs" want to implement cryptocurrency payments in 2022, according to a survey by Visa.

The 5 largest platforms for non-fungible token (NFT) collectibles

Since the beginning of 2021, non-fungible tokens (NFT) have had no holding back and the sector is setting new records almost every day.  More and more artists, stars and brands are realizing the potential - NFT are well on their way to catapulting the crypto space into the mainstream.  But which collectibles are currently the most popular? What are NFT? NFT are unique tokens that cannot be exchanged one-for-one for an equivalent token.  Any asset that is tokenizable can be an NFT.  This includes, for example, (digital) works of art, trading cards, game items and crypto domains.  Theoretically, however, real estate or securities can also be mapped as NFT. NFTs can be used to transparently map ownership structures on a public blockchain.  This allows them to store value just like real objects, even if additional copies are easy to make.  For example, the original picture of the Mona Lisa is significantly more valuable than a photo, as everyone kno...

CARDALONIA: THE CARDANO METAVERSE OPENS THE GATES!

Have you ever been to Cardalonia? With these words, the Cardano Metaverse called Cardalonia starts the gates. In this 3D world, developers and users can interact with each other. First of all, users have to create an individual character with which they can move online. After that you can enter one of the worlds built by developers with this character. You can also purchase your own land in the Cardano Metaverse via the marketplaces in Cardalonia . This is secured by Cardano's blockchain technology and therefore offers a relatively secure transfer of ownership. Since these are only digital plots of land, it is not yet entirely clear when the plots of land are purchased whether they can also be sold again in the future. A possible profit cannot be estimated at the moment. In Cardalonia, the cryptocurrency Lonia is used. The maximum amount of tokens in circulation is 100,000,000. The team consists of Alice Sand (Co-Founder), Vasil Air (CTO) and Dustan Water (Fullstack Developer). T...
