SCRT has increased more than 5% in the last 24 hours

 


The cryptocurrency market is currently underperforming, but SCRT has increased its value by more than 5% in the past 24 hours.

The broader cryptocurrency market continues to underperform after wiping nearly $ 100 billion since the start of the week. Bitcoin has fallen below the USD 43,000 support level and could lose support around the USD 39,000 mark in the coming hours.

Ether has also fallen more than 7% in the past 24 hours and is currently trading at around $ 3,100 per coin. Although the broader cryptocurrency market is underperforming, SCRT, the secret blockchain's native token, is up more than 5% today.

SCRT is climbing ahead of Quentin Tarantino's first NFT collection launch. The star director will be releasing his NFT collection on the Secret blockchain on January 17th. Secret Network is an interoperable blockchain infrastructure that aims to enable data protection for general purpose smart contracts.

SCRT has been one of the top performers in the cryptocurrency market for the past 24 hours and could continue its rally over the weekend.

The SCRT / BUSD 4-hour chart is one of the most bullish cryptocurrencies out there right now. The technical indicators show that SCRT is doing great and could expand its profit in the coming hours.

SCRT's MACD line is above the neutral zone, which indicates a positive trend in its performance. The 14-day relative strength index of 58 suggests that SCRT could soon enter the overbought territory. At the time of writing, SCRT is trading above its 50-day simple moving average.

At press time, SCRT is trading at $ 6.7 per coin. If the rally continues, SCRT will surpass the $ 7 psychological level in the next few hours. On a long rally, SCRT would cross $ 8 before the end of the weekend.

Phishing attack on popular crypto sites tries to empty wallets

  Several major crypto sites such as Etherscan, CoinGecko, DeFi Pulse, and others report malicious pop-ups scammers use to try to trick users into connecting their MetaMask wallets. The phishing attack came from a domain displaying the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) logo. "We are investigating the root cause of this attack to fix the threat as soon as possible," CoinGecko founder Bobby Ong tweeted. The phishing attack appears to have been triggered by a malicious ad script from Coinzilla, a crypto ad network, according to CoinGecko. Etherscan also advises its users not to confirm any transactions that may appear on the website. The attackers attempted to use the hype around the “bored monkeys” non-fungible tokens (NFT) to gain access to the cryptocurrencies of unsuspecting website visitors. Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs stolen through phishing on Instagram

  Bored Ape Yacht Club ( BAYC ) developers announced on Monday that hackers have hijacked the official Instagram page of the popular NFT collection and posted links to a fake airdrop. Crypto enthusiasts who connected their MetaMask wallet to the rogue website subsequently had their Ape NFTs stolen. Apparently, the attack was planned to coincide with the one-year anniversary of the BAYC collection. This increased the "perceived credibility" of the phishing link. About 100 NFTs are said to have been stolen in the phishing attack . According to CoinGecko data , the minimum price for a BAYC NFT is 139 Ether ( ETH ) or $400,726. So if reports are correct, over $40 million worth of NFTs were stolen in the attack.
