PlayStation inventor doesn't believe in the Metaverse

The former head of Sony Computer Entertainment and inventor of the Playstation isn't a fan of the Metaverse. Virtual reality isolates users from reality, says Ken Kutaragi.

Ken Kutaragi can not join the hype about the Metaverse.

The 71 -year-old expressed concerns about dealing with virtual reality to Bloomberg .

"Being in the real world is very important, but the Metaverse is about making the virtual world sort of real and I don't see the point in that," Kutaragi said in an interview with Bloomberg News.

Also, "Headsets would isolate you from the real world and I don't condone that," he said.
