Multichain hacker returns $813,000

Hackers managed to siphon over $1.9 million from the multichain protocol last week. However, one of the hackers turned out to be a white hat and returned 259 ether worth $813,000.

On Jan. 18, the multichain protocol became the target of a targeted hacker attack.

According to Multichain , three hackers stole a total of 602 ethers for a value of the equivalent of 1.9 million US dollars at the time.

However, one of the attackers revealed himself to be a benevolent white hat hacker and returned 259 ETH on Jan. 20.

The value amounts to around 813,000 US dollars.

The Multichain team is working on "getting more funds back".
