Polkadot Staking: T-Systems MMS

 


T-Systems Multimedia Solutions announced today that it operates its own validator on Polkadot. This is a network node that validates transactions and thereby generates income in the form of DOT tokens, the native currency of Polkadot.

However, this is not the first foray into blockchain technology that the Telekom subsidiary is daring. In the past, they have already participated in Celo and are enthusiastic about the Polkadot network in a press release available to the editors

Polkadot celebrates the start of the Parachains

Polkadot focuses on interoperability between different blockchains. For this purpose, the so-called relay chain verifies all transactions and so-called parachains take on specific tasks that can be freely defined.

Since the first places for the parachains are limited, they will be auctioned. The parachains of the first auction winners only started this weekend . The actual start of Polkadot is still imminent. Only in the coming year will it be possible to make a meaningful assessment of the success of this technology.

You can get a first taste of what Polkadot could do in the end if you take a closer look at Kusama. Kusama is a "Canary Network" and thus a kind of test site for Polkadot, which offers an independent environment. Here the parachains started much earlier.
