MicroStrategy buys more Bitcoin for $ 82 million

 


With the further investment, MicroStrategy's Bitcoin assets grow to $ 5.9 billion.


The software manufacturer MicroStrategy bought an additional 1,434 Bitcoin when the market-leading cryptocurrency was trading at $ 57,477.


According to official documents from the US Securities and Exchange Commission, the listed company acquired a total of 1,434 Bitcoin ( BTC ) between November 29 and December 8 for a price of almost US $ 82.4 million . This increases MicroStrategy's Bitcoin fortune to 5.9 billion US dollars, which includes just under 2.2 billion US dollars in profit.


Since the software manufacturer made its first large Bitcoin investment worth 250 million US dollars in August 2020, MicroStrategy has repeatedly invested at irregular intervals, for which a convertible bond has been sold in the meantime in order to raise further funds for the acquisition of Bitcoin to generate. Although the company has mostly bought out downturns , investments have also been made after significant upswings.



According to data from Cointelegraph Markets Pro , the price of Bitcoin is currently $ 48,684, a decrease of a little more than 25% in the last 30 days. Since the crash to US $ 42,000 a few days ago, the crypto market leader has slowly consolidated itself back to the psychologically important US $ 50,000 mark.
