Ether whales soak up Shiba Inu



Whales have fallen for the dog: No cryptocurrency is more popular among major ether investors than the Memecoin Shiba Inu.

In the portfolio of the 1,000 wallets with the largest ether deposits, Shiba Inu comes first. Ether whales currently hold SHIB tokens valued at over $ 1.7 billion, data from Whalestats shows. Just behind, FTX, with tokens worth 1.6 billion US dollars, occupies the second largest position. In third place is the stablecoin Tether USDT.

Shiba Inu hype despite a slump in prices

Although Shiba Inu has already seen better price developments and has currently lost 60 percent of its value since its record high two months ago, the Memecoin is spreading more and more. The coin is also firmly established in the gaming sector. In partnership with PlaySide Studios, Australia's largest video game developer, a game based on the NFT “Shiboshi” collection is to be developed over the next eight months. William Volk, Alpha Director at Shiba Inu Games and former chief developer at Activision, speaks of “one of the most important game projects of all time”.
