Litecoin: The price for digital silver continues to rise

Litecoin is commonly referred to as the digital silver and has in the past followed its own line in terms of further development. For example, the integration of the MimbleWimble protocol should ensure that private transactions are possible that are protected from prying eyes.

Although Litecoin has not been in the top 10 for a long time, it is not going out of style. If you look at the latest reports on the integration of Bitcoin, you will see that Litecoin is always on the list together with Ethereum. This is now also noticeable in the price, as LTC broke yesterday above the neckline of a double-bottom formation in the daily chart.

The result was a bull onslaught that catapulted Litecoin to almost $ 300. Now it has to be shown whether there is still room for improvement or whether LTC is first undergoing a correction. If so, the $ 236- $ 244 area could offer support.

Dash and Zcash could be the next candidates

Dash (DASH) shows a very similar development as Litecoin, but would have to break the neckline at around $ 275 to get a similar chance as LTC. Zcash (ZEC) is also following a similar pattern but is already a bit further. However, there is still no bull run on the ZEC course.

This leaves room for speculation as to why the "old guard" of cryptocurrencies is about to experience a revival. There is no new "hotness" to report in the development, although all three cryptos mentioned are actively being further developed.

Therefore, in the end, the price increase could simply be due to the bullish situation on the market and the crypto assets, which previously had no run, are now following.

Phishing attack on popular crypto sites tries to empty wallets

Several major crypto sites such as Etherscan, CoinGecko, DeFi Pulse, and others report malicious pop-ups scammers use to try to trick users into connecting their MetaMask wallets. The phishing attack came from a domain displaying the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) logo. "We are investigating the root cause of this attack to fix the threat as soon as possible," CoinGecko founder Bobby Ong tweeted. The phishing attack appears to have been triggered by a malicious ad script from Coinzilla, a crypto ad network, according to CoinGecko. Etherscan also advises its users not to confirm any transactions that may appear on the website. Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs stolen through phishing on Instagram

Bored Ape Yacht Club ( BAYC ) developers announced on Monday that hackers have hijacked the official Instagram page of the popular NFT collection and posted links to a fake airdrop. Crypto enthusiasts who connected their MetaMask wallet to the rogue website subsequently had their Ape NFTs stolen. Apparently, the attack was planned to coincide with the one-year anniversary of the BAYC collection. This increased the "perceived credibility" of the phishing link.
