Coinweb receives an investment from the venture capital fund Magnus Capital



Coinweb is a small but growing blockchain network. A new partnership has now been announced with Magnus Capital - a leading venture capital firm.

Coinweb is a fast growing blockchain project best known for introducing the inchain architecture. This is a distributed ledger technology (DLT) that enables cross-chain calculation processes. This allows it to help developers issue tokens and DeFi protocols.

In a statement on Tuesday, the developers announced a new partnership with Magnus Capital. Magnus is a leading investment fund focused on digital assets. The company invests in blockchain developers and offers them advice.

Some of the other companies that have received investments from Magnus are, for example, LaunchX, B21, Stater, andgenzwap. In a statement, a representative from Magnus said:

We are excited to partner with Coinweb to achieve great things and be part of the early adopters of the blockchain future. The fund has invested in promising projects and Coinweb is definitely one of them. Magnus looks forward to supporting the project and creating as much value as possible as we build a community together that shares the same values ​​and mission.

Investments in crypto are increasing

The announcement came at a time when many venture capital firms were allocating millions of dollars to blockchain projects.

For example, Gemini raised $ 400 million last week on a valuation of $ 7 billion. Investors included Morgan Creek Digital and the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.

In the same week, Consensys received $ 200 million with a valuation of $ 3.2 billion from HSBC and Coinbase Ventures. It's a company started by a co-founder of Ethereum.

Other companies that have received large investments include FTX, Solana, Avalanche, and The Sandbox.

Phishing attack on popular crypto sites tries to empty wallets

  Several major crypto sites such as Etherscan, CoinGecko, DeFi Pulse, and others report malicious pop-ups scammers use to try to trick users into connecting their MetaMask wallets. The phishing attack came from a domain displaying the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) logo. Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs stolen through phishing on Instagram

  Bored Ape Yacht Club ( BAYC ) developers announced on Monday that hackers have hijacked the official Instagram page of the popular NFT collection and posted links to a fake airdrop. Crypto enthusiasts who connected their MetaMask wallet to the rogue website subsequently had their Ape NFTs stolen. Apparently, the attack was planned to coincide with the one-year anniversary of the BAYC collection. This increased the "perceived credibility" of the phishing link.
